What is client project management?
Client project management is running delivery work where the client is a participant rather than an audience. That means giving them visibility of progress and approvals without exposing internal notes, margins, or other clients, and connecting the work to what gets billed. Orangescrum does this with role based access, client users on a project, billable time tracking, and invoicing from approved hours.
Why client work gets expensive
Client visibility you control
Client users on a project
Add the client to the project they are paying for, and nothing else.
Role based access
Decide exactly what a client role can see and do, so internal detail stays internal.
Progress without the noise
Clients see status and deliverables, not every internal comment or cost figure.
Discussion in context
Client feedback sits on the task it is about, instead of in a mail thread nobody can find.
Billable hours to invoice
Approved billable time becomes a client invoice, with no export step.
Unlimited clients
Every plan includes unlimited users, so adding clients never changes the price.

Client management FAQ
Is Orangescrum a CRM?
No, and it is worth being clear about that. Orangescrum manages client delivery work, not your sales pipeline. It covers giving clients access to their projects, tracking billable time, and invoicing. For lead and deal tracking you would still use a CRM.
Can clients see my internal notes?
Not unless you allow it. Access is role based, so a client role can be limited to progress and deliverables on their own project while internal comments, costs, and other clients stay hidden.
Does adding clients cost more?
No. Every plan includes unlimited users, so you can give every client access without the bill changing. That is usually the reason teams stop emailing updates.
Can I invoice from tracked time?
Yes. Hours marked billable and approved by a manager can generate a client invoice directly, so nobody rebuilds it in a spreadsheet. Invoicing is on the Premium plan and in Self-Hosted.
Can I tell which clients are profitable?
Yes. Comparing billable value against actual cost gives per project and per client profitability, which is how agencies find the work that is quietly losing money.
Can each client only see their own project?
Yes. Client users are added to specific projects, so they never see other clients' work.
Is this in the free Community Edition?
Roles and permissions are, but client billing and invoicing are not. The Community Edition covers projects, tasks, boards, and time logging.
Put the client in the project
Client access is in Cloud and Self-Hosted. Every plan includes unlimited users and clients.
