Wrike is a capable work management platform and it is genuinely strong on creative and marketing work. Teams look around for three reasons: the entry Team plan only runs from 2 to 15 users, every person is another line on the bill, and the published pricing is annual, so the smallest commitment is a year. Orangescrum is a flat monthly price with unlimited users on every plan, and there is a self-hosted edition if you need to run it on your own servers. If your work runs on creative proofing and approval rounds, or you have built your whole structure on Wrike's folders and cross-tagging, do not switch. Those are real things we do not have.
When Wrike is the better choice
We would rather you find this out here than three weeks into a trial.
- You run creative proofing and approvalsWrike lets reviewers mark up images, video, and PDFs in place, and routes them through approval rounds. This is the strongest thing it does and we do not have creative proofing at all. If your week is built around getting artwork signed off, Wrike wins outright.
- You need one task to live in several placesWrike's folder and cross-tagging model lets the same item appear under a client, a campaign, and a department at once. Our model is projects and tasks, which is simpler but does not do that. Large matrixed organisations often depend on it.
- You are administering a very large rolloutWrike is built for organisations running hundreds of people across departments, with custom item types, department level admin, and enterprise controls. If that is your scale and your governance requirement, it is on firmer ground than we are.
- You want a free cloud tier for a groupWrike's free plan covers basic project and task management across web, desktop, and mobile. Our free cloud plan is one project and one user. If free cloud for a small group is what you need and basic task management is enough, take theirs.

Wrike publishes annual-billed pricing only. Its Team plan is shown at $10 per user per month billed on an annual basis, and no monthly-billing rate appears on the page. Orangescrum Pro Unlimited is $69 per month for the whole team, billed monthly, with nothing to commit to for a year. Setting an annual commitment beside a monthly one in the same table would flatter us and mislead you, so we have not built one.
