Project Management for Banking, Inside Your Own Perimeter
Run regulatory change, core system migrations, and product launches without asking your risk team to approve another vendor holding your data.

What does banking project management need?
Financial services projects are usually deadline bound and evidence bound at the same time. A regulatory change has a date that does not move, and somebody will later ask who approved what and when. Add a vendor risk review that can reject a tool purely on where the data sits. Orangescrum handles the delivery side, and the Self-Hosted edition runs entirely inside infrastructure you control, so the hosting question is answered before it is asked.
Why change programmes in banks slip
Control, evidence, and a date you can defend
Runs on your infrastructure
The Self-Hosted edition installs on your own servers, private cloud, or an air gapped network, so project data never leaves your control.
Access you can evidence
Role based permissions per project, with SSO, OAuth, and LDAP or Active Directory sign in on Self-Hosted.
Permanent activity history
Every work item keeps a record of who changed what and when, so audit evidence exists before it is requested.
Risk register
Log programme risks with owners, impact, and mitigation, kept next to the work. Self-Hosted.
Reporting on delivery
Status, effort, and cost reporting for steering committees, without anyone building the pack by hand.
Everyone in the loop
Unlimited users means second line and operations staff work inside the tool instead of around it.

Banking and finance project management FAQ
Can we run Orangescrum without our data leaving our network?
Yes. The Self-Hosted edition installs on your own servers, private cloud, or an air gapped environment, and nothing is sent to us. You control backups, retention, and who has access. This is why most banking and lending buyers choose it over the cloud edition.
Is Orangescrum SOC 2 or PCI DSS certified?
No, and we will not imply otherwise. Those are properties of how an organisation operates and is independently assessed, and we have no such certification to point you at. What we can state plainly is that the Self-Hosted edition keeps project data inside infrastructure you control, access is role based and reviewable, and every work item carries a permanent activity history. Send us your vendor questionnaire and we will answer each line honestly, including the lines where the answer is no.
Is this a core banking or accounting system?
No. Orangescrum is project delivery software. We do not have a general ledger, we do not post journals, and we are not a CRM or sales pipeline. We track project budget, logged effort, project cost, and client invoices, and finance teams export from there into the systems that do the accounting.
Can we connect it to Active Directory?
Yes, in the Self-Hosted edition, which supports LDAP and Active Directory as well as SSO and OAuth identity providers. Joiners and leavers follow your existing directory rather than a separate user list somebody has to remember to update.
Do we pay per user?
No. Pricing is a flat monthly plan with unlimited users: Basic is 29 dollars a month, Pro is 69, and Premium is 349. That matters in banking because the people who need visibility, such as risk, compliance, and operations reviewers, are usually the ones a per seat model prices out.
Can we prove who approved a change?
Yes. Every task and document keeps a permanent history of edits, status changes, comments, and approvals, with the user and timestamp. When internal audit asks, the record already exists rather than being reconstructed from mailboxes.
Can different departments be kept separate?
Yes. Permissions are role based and apply per project, so retail, treasury, and technology each see their own work. Programmes still roll the whole picture up for the people who need it.
Can we track programme cost, not just tasks?
Yes. Set a budget per project, define rates, and actual cost builds from logged time as the work happens. Programme level views roll cost and progress up across the related projects.
Keep the programme moving and the data where policy needs it
Cloud or fully self-hosted on your own infrastructure. Every plan includes unlimited users.
